Idukki arch dam is world's second and Asia's first arch dam, constructed across the kuravan and kurathi hills. It is 650 feet in breadth and 550 feet in height, and lies close to the cheruthoni barrage. To the west lies the kulamavu dam. the under ground power house at moolamattom is another attraction.
